Who can resist the cute floppy ears and the smell of puppy breath in the morning?  Puppies are cute no matter what shape, size or breed.

Before jumping into parenthood, make sure your soon-to-be puppy has been updated on all the necessary vaccinations they need to thrive. Always consult with your veterinarian before administering any shots but, if the vet says its-a-go then we carry two different types for your convenience. We carry the Canine Imuno-Vax 5, which is the 5 in one modified live virus. The Canine Imuno-Vax 5 vaccine is a combination of immunogenic, attenuated strains of Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV-2), Canine Parainfluenza, and Canine Parvovirus Type 2b, propagated in cell line tissue cultures. The CAV-2 fraction cross protects against infection caused by infectious canine hepatitis. The other vaccination we carry is the Canine Imuno-Vax 9, which like it’s counterpart, is a 9 in one vaccine. Canine Imuno-Vax 9 is a vaccine that is a combination of immunogenic, attenuated strains of Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV-2), Canine Parainfluenza, and Canine Parvovirus Type 2b. The diluent contains killed antigens for Leptospira Canicola-Grippotyphosa-Icterohaemorrhagiae-Pomona bacterial extract. Both of these have instructions on how, where and when to administer these products on the back of their individual package. Why Grain-Free?

Grains are digestible for dogs but it can be hard. The easier the digestion for your dog the more nutrients they can collect from the food. Also, many dogs have food allergies, just like us. Some of these allergies include grains that are used in dog food. Puppy Vaccination Booster Series

As the Days get longer and the weather warms up, puppy litters are being born . Are you ready for your new puppy?

The first step to a healthy puppy is vaccination.

Companion Vac Solo Jec 5 is the first inoculation your puppy receives. It should be given 3 weeks before the puppy leaves the mother at 6 weeks old to 8 weeks old, then again at 9-11 weeks (at weaning). This will help your puppy stay healthy through the stressful period of weaning and separation from the mother and litter mates.

The addition of two strains of Leptospira canicola, and L. icterohaemorrhagiae is what makes this vaccine a “7”. It is also sold in single dose packaging.  This will now be your Annual Booster for your puppy.
